Tim Schwab, an artist living and working in Southern California finds inspiration in the environment around him. The theme of his work is the juxtaposition of controlled forms with wildly active and organic surface textures. The surfaces hold dissonant elements like contrasting color, cracking, bubbling, and flaking that leave the overall object both harmonious and at times in conflict with itself.
